You’re invited to hear from Leicester West's general election candidates!

Join us to hear from candidates and have your chance to ask them your questions on the topics that affect our community the most. There will be representatives of different political parties, including:

  • Benjamin Feist of the Liberal Democrats
  • Aasiya Bora from the Green Party
  • Ian Edward Hayes from Reform UK
  • Rahoul Naik from One Leicester
  • Steve Score from Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC)

We have invited Max Chauhan from the Conservative Party, but have yet to receive a response. We are working hard to confirm their availability — we will update this page and share updates on social media if they plan to attend. Brijesh BM Gajjar, the Workers Party of Britain candidate, has withdrawn from the race.

Liz Kendall from the Labour Party has refused to attend:

Liz Kendall refuses to join Leicester West hustings
Liz Kendall, the Labour candidate in Leicester West for the upcoming general election, will not appear at The Gazette hustings event after numerous attempts to contact her or her team.

Tickets are free, but you must book in advance to guarantee entry.

Location: Church of the Martyrs, Westcotes Drive, Leicester, LE3 0QT

Date/Time: Mon 17 June 2024, 6:30pm until 8pm

Please note: We cannot guarantee that the question you submit will be selected. This is likely to be a popular event, if you book tickets and can no longer attend, please contact our team at events@greatcentralgazette.org.

Accessibility: A stair lift is available for attendees with mobility issues. There is no PA system, so those hard of hearing are encouraged to sit at the front of the audience.
